Founder Provides Perspective in His Congressional Testimony

The above blog is lengthy, but is an amazing recap of the history of Amazon and Jeff Bezos. Many of you have heard the story of how Jeff started the business from his garage, but to read how Amazon has impacted lives and communities around the world is humbling. To be part of this great company has given me a life after the military that I would not have had otherwise. I am challenged, personally fulfilled and proud to call myself an Amazonian.

What are your next steps? If you love mentoring young leaders, making the difference in the lives of those for whom you are charged or you just want to be part of something bigger than yourself then why not Amazon?

Yesterday I chatted with a friend that has transitioned and just wants to continue to be relevant. They want to still be a part of something and found that the Amazon leadership principles resonated with them. The principles are much like those of the service and quite frankly are benchmarks for positive behavior and good business. Enough about what I think...Enjoy Jeff's Testimony!
